Woman drowns off Byron Bay beach
Police are preparing a report for the coroner after the death of a 30-year-old woman on Byron Bay’s Tallow Beach yesterday afternoon.
The Brisbane woman was last seen swimming at the northern end of the beach when she disappeared from site.
A friend called for help when she did not reappear.
Her body was found a short time later at the southern end of Tallow Beach but she could not be revived.
